Final Submission-Textures, Section & Stairs
Final Submission - Draft and Developed Models
I call this building Paradise and Nightmare Studios.
Drafts
The first few tries were experimentation on the building.
The basement was initially a simple shape
Draft Two has a smaller gardens leading out from the basements.
Developed 1
The textures chosen in order to camouflage to its surrounding environment. Basically to make it look as if it is one with nature. The first level was meant to symbolise Ai Wei Wei's interchanging artistic views. The entry was set in the middle of the building.Developed 2
The basement represents Starlac's strange unique perception in art. For instance the Prosthetic ear and the Mechanical Muscle prompted me to mix the textures with my building to give a combination of an organic tree stump with the basement/bottom floor. The wooden side represents the physical aspects of art(Paintings, Portraits, Statues and Sculptures) while the Blue Dome represents the side used for digital media.
Below here, Iam still deciding whether to make the entry in the middle or on the wooden side.
If anyone is wondering what the dome structures on the mountains are, they are hotels for the artists and security headquarters.
Below here are Two Sections from my notebook
